Our Programs
Youth in Motion
Youth in Motion is a safe space for young adults (aged 16-24) to connect with peers and prepare to live independently. Spring and Fall sessions consist of virtual and in-person meetups where youth with disabilities socialize, play games, and have important discussions about shared challenges, concerns, and successes.
Youth in Motion offers participants the chance to meet face-to-face in an accessible, safe environment. Once per session, participants meet at Communitech in Kitchener, in an amazing space sponsored by Smart Waterloo Region Innovation Lab. Participants spend time together playing games, doing crafts, enjoying a pizza dinner, and connecting with each other.
Every summer, we have a two-night youth retreat. This free weekend away is a great chance for the youth participants to learn more about independent living while having fun and making memories with their peers. This supportive weekend allows growth in the youth in an organic environment.
